BC '70 Hemi Cuda sells at auction for $247,000! S15cudapr1

This 1970 Hemi ‘Cuda is believed the sole example retaining its original FJ5 Limelight Hi-Impact paint finish. With its VIN decoded by noted Chrysler expert Galen Govier, this Hemi ‘Cuda was scheduled for production on Monday, October 13, 1969 at Chrysler’s Hamtramck, Michigan assembly plant and built to perform – at very high speeds – with its highway-friendly 3.23:1 Sure-Grip rear end and absence of power-robbing luxury options. Nonetheless, this Hemi ‘Cuda was equipped new with power brakes (with front discs), power steering, the famed ‘Shaker’ hood and competition-style hood pins. High-Grade trim includes black vinyl bucket seats, dual outside mirrors, a black vinyl top, chrome exhaust tips, a floor console, and a Music Master AM radio.

It looks like Mecum auctions is brining more cash to the sellers that Barrett did?
I watched some of the Barrett auction and the Mopars for the most part were not doing that sort of $$$ there? Am I right/ wrong?

Because of BJ's "no reserve" rule, they don't get the quality cars they use too....Nobody is willing to gamble, at least at Mecum you can set a reserve. Mopars are HOT tonight !

Barrett Jackson - has put the reserve rule back

There were a number of cars that didn't hit the reserve and weren't SOLD

Hey! The other thing I noticed about th TV coverage of the Barrett was..... It seemed every time a Mopar was coming up on the block that's when they switched to commercial time? Maybe just me....but it sure looked like it! LOL...
