And it's COLD in between. However we did get rid of the snow storms here in Ontario, we just sent them east to NB. and NS.Grumpy427 wrote:Yeah I hear east coast and maritimes is getting snow and west coast rain!

Good morning all. It has finally stopped snowing so it is a good morning. I still have to shovel and plow today but at least it's not falling. It is pretty cold though. In the minus 20's. Still not bad. LOL

Hey Keith what brand of connectors are you using? I installed Hotchkis.

US car tool. This is on my 65 Cuda so I couldn't use Hotchkis.
I've heard good and bad about them, but because every car floor is slightly different I think this is the majority of complaints. I havn't even tried them yet I trying to scrape off all the under coating right now.
Here is what I purchased.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Hey Keith once you weld those in at each end, then tac them at a few places to your floor, that little extra bit helps to make your floor act together as one unit with the body. Once the welding is done you can if you wish cover the seams(the ones on the floor) with caulking, just to help seal everything. If all goes well you will notice that the car handles better and even the doors close better, you may notice quite a few changes and if it's like me, the more you drive the more you will notice things. Good luck.

I truly believe in beefing up these cars, they were lite and need help to keep from twisting.

Re: Good Morning Thread
I guess if you're taking them to the track....otherwise I would say they're fine for everyday street use
Re: Good Morning Thread
Yes I agree but when they start to hook that's when things happen

Yes I was going to tack it along the floor but I really like your idea on the caulking it along the floor just to help seal it.
Thanks Jean-Guy for the tip.
P.S. still scraping off under coating, but using a small torch to melt some of it. It seems to make scraping a bit easier.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good day all , well had to work again today. I'll be glad when the warm weather gets here. Then I'll start turning down the work. Unless I need the gas money lol.

I would say they are MODERATELY fine. The back wheels don't always follow the front wheels as properly as they should. Try it and see.anlauto wrote:I guess if you're taking them to the track....otherwise I would say they're fine for everyday street use

I guess your right, gas mileage really does suck on the Duster. Maybe I'll just take a few less hours, when the weather warms up.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Good Morning all, we had a light dusting of snow last night, the good thing is they are only calling for 2 or 3 centimeters. And that will be over the whole weekend. I think I'll finish my coffee take the dog to the big park for awhile, stop at Tims, on the way back and then paint the house for the rest of the day.

Re: Good Morning Thread
Yup...even the little bit of snow sucks...Tonight my wife and I are having our 17th annual "FEB BASH" where we have about 40-50 people over....but as we all get up there in age, less and less people want to drive in this Winter crap...We have friends in Toronto that I'm sure won't make the drive, which is a bummer...
Re: Good Morning Thread
Good Morning everyone. As sleep eludes me this morning, its time to get up and get on with the day. Should be a nice mild typical prairie day here today, full of multiple types of weather, lol and people with poor driving skills. Hope your bash is a success tonight Anlauto..

Re: Good Morning Thread
Morning all, just got up and still rubbin and scratching LOL. Not much planned for me today. I might go in to work to get caught up on stuff Im never able to get to. I HATE working for free, but it lessens the work load thru the week.
Have fun with the party Alan, maybe swing by Dans with the crowd and help him paint his house?? Just be sure to pick up some HIP colors first!

Good morning Canadians, the sun is shining, didn't snow last night. I caught a cold with joint pains last week but the meds I took yesterday seem to have helped, at this age things don't heal as quickly as they used to.
