dash panel and gauges
I am in the planning stages of thinking of upgrading the dash cluster on my 76 Dart Sport. I already have a GPS speedo. I was thinking of using 5 gauges, 3 3/8'' tach and 2'' volt, fuel, oil pressure and temp. Depending on the color of the panel I would go with either white face or black gauges. The padded part of the dash is dark beige and inside is off white.
Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated. I can't afford high end gauges so mid range prices are more desirable.

ON FABO there is a how to article on how to make a new modern gauge cluster. If you make your own you can customize it for any size gauges or layout you want.
Also Auto Meter makes a new Gauge cluster panel that fits in your car.

I like the make your own way part and I know auto meter has good gauges BUT they are damn expensive when your budget is limited like mine.

Re: dash panel and gauges
Update time...I have enlarged all the holes like they should be and then adjusted and glued the plexiglass in place. After having let that dry overnight I mixed some epoxy and filled in the perimeter of the plexi. The following day examined the cluster and was happily surprised to see that the epoxy had very much solidified everything together and it seemed like a not too bad job...I think. Next will be the paint, today is Friday so not til Monday.

Re: dash panel and gauges
This morning I sprayed on the last coat of paint...flat black. Epoxy is a great bonding agent but also makes a mess unless you clean it up right right away. I will let this dry for 2 days then take some pictures. I have some drilling to do in the firewall for the metal line going to the water temp gauge.
What to do for inside signal lights I have no idea...right now.

I ordered a GPS speedo from Santa ''model T600 head up display'' tried it last summer and works great. It has its own small screen and just plugs in to the lighter.

GPS speedos are the answer if you change rear gears or tire size and there accurate besides.
