Re: Ball joint problem.
Almost all you can do is replace your ball joints if they're bad screw them back in and then tack weld them in so they don't move OR replace everything with tubular ''A'' arms and new everything. Whichever way you choose it won't be free...unless you're real lucky. Might be a good time to change from rubber to ....

Cheap insurance to go with new A arms. when you say the alignment is all wrong, are you talking about caster, camber etc. New arms may solve some of your problem.

You could weld in new sleeves( common circle track part) but it would be a whole lot easier to get new arms.

Re: Ball joint problem.
I wonder if you bushing's for the lower arms are worn as well, That would add to the excessive camber.. if it's negative camber...

Re: Ball joint problem.
Came back yesterday. just installed new(old) control arm. Reuse the bushings fron the old uca as they were new. The balljoint is an old Mopar one, still tight. Did use a new boot tho. Did a quick test drive, everything is fine. Next is aligment shop.

Re: Ball joint problem.
Take a close look at your lower control arm bushings, I have yet to see a set that don't need replacing. Some of the ones I replaced were on cars that had alignments done recently too, most people assume the alignment shop will let you know if they are bad, but it gets overlooked far too often.

Re: Ball joint problem.
Did you alignment go ok? I have a friend with a similar problem and we are going to put new uppers in this coming weekend.

Everything is fine. Aligment was within spec. Did about 2 000,milles this summer. Tire wear is even. So far, so good.
