Buildsheet Empty Buildsheet

Post by smoken340 Thu Sep 01, 2016 5:18 pm

Over on forabodiesonly site, there is a guy on mechanical parts for sale, that is selling the original engine out of my car. I wish that I had the spare money to buy it but alas I don't. BUT, the cool part is he also has the original build sheet out of my car, that I'm try to convince him to sell to me. WISH ME LUCK ALL.

Saw that ad on FABO, wondered where was that car. Luckily, it's on good hands.

A bit expensive for the engine, imho

Good luck on the build sheet.

Thanks, if it wasn't for the US exchange rate I, would have considered making him an offer. I haven't heard from him yet but I hope he will part with the buildsheet. It should be reunited with the car. Hell I'm even willing to pay him for it.

Well Dan i would hope they would just send you the build sheet in the mail, as far as the engine goes? $1600 is pretty steep for a core for rebuilding. At the same time be nice to have the original motor for that car.

I would love to have the engine, but yes $1600. Is way to much, but even worse thats $1600. US. Do the exchange rate and I'd be over $2k. He has sent me an email asking for proof of ownership, so maybe he's considering letting me purchase the build sheet. I will keep you informed.

I recieved a call from the guy and he's firm on his price. Also doesn't sound like I'll get the build sheet unless I purchase everything. So I'm gonna give it some serious thought about buying it. At least the engine will be back where it belongs.

Thanks, However I did buy the engine, it has the wrong heads so Im going to have to find a set. Other than that I paid way more then what its worth, but what else am I gonna spend my money on, lol. I will probably never use the engine but at least its where it belongs, along with the build sheet.

You know Dan even if you just make sure you spray the cylinders with a product called storall it will coat everything for you . When you sell the car you will get your money back out of that stuff. Glad you got it.
