Blue Jays Thread.

They are coming alive tonight in the 6th inning. Anybody else watching?

Well not enough pitching talent to help this team.

Dickey is not doing so well this season so far and some of the relievers are having a tough time.

Blue Jays must have run out of gas.

May 21st Blue Jays leading 6-1 after 5 innings. R.A. Dickey is pitching and I guess that they worked on his pitching in the bull pen and it worked.

Dickey, complete game win...8-4 against LAA (Los Angeles Angels).

Sorry i missed the game tonight.

It was a good game for a change, one that didn't drive you to watch something else.

Hey Sheldon, Blue Jays playing again, 4th inning 3-2 lead.

Blue Jays played a up and down game but finally ended up on top thanks to Josh Donaldson's 2nd home run of the night, a 3 run homer which won the game 10-9. Bautista had at least 4 RBI.

It has been a while but what about those powerful Blue Jays? That is some lineup. Did you see the 3 headed monster they have...Donaldson, Bautista, Encarnacion.

Huge Band-wagoneer here.....I've never watched a baseball game in my life, but I think it's great our local boys are winning again....I remember the last time they won the world series and the excitement it brought to Canada

Back then weren't the Expos still around?

And the Jays just keep rolling along.

Next goal, 1st in American league and then the games to the post season begin.

How many teams advance to the next round ?
What's considered "post season" ? How many teams from how many divisions ?

No problem, I just hope I get this right. There is the American league, which the Blue Jays are part of and the National league. Each league has 3 divisions: Eastern, Central and Western divisions in each. The blue jays belong to the American Eastern division. The 2 top teams in each division go to the Eastern, Central or Western division Championships.  There is also 2 wild card teams(12 teams+2 wild card). So you have 14 teams that advance. Post season is the games starting with the division championships all the way to the end of the world series.
So from the 14 teams 6 or 8 advance and then I am not sure what happens  but the American league plays the National league which ends up as Am. against Nat. for the world series. This is approximately what happens and I hope I did not make too many mistakes.

...Ummm...so they have a long way to go...

The Jays did it again...they are the Eastern American league champs, now they advance to play either Houston or Kansas city.
