I went through the same thing on my 2000 Dakota, about 2 years ago. I wound up buying an after market set, as well as an after market front bumper. All in everything was around $600. and it was the best move that I did. I looked about 6 months for a used set and couldn't find anything that was any better than what I already had. I'm sure there's an aftermarket supplier, somewhere down there.

thanks for the reply what aftermarket company did you use and where did you buy them at I seems shipping is killer since they are oversized . one company is 158.oo AD. BUT WITH shipping and exchange and brooker fees they come out to near 500 .00 big ones EACH .

Give me a bit of time and I'll dig out the receipt, and get you the name of them. I know this was a company local to me here in Toronto, but there must be a aftermarket dealer somewhere in the east. It's a shame because these are great trucks, but the fender design allows for to much crap to get caught in places that you can't even see, making it impossible to clean, which in turn creates rust.

Here is the web site for the place that I got mine. www.tigerautoparts.com.
Good luck.
There is also a place called Keystone auto parts, I just don't have any info on them.
