Anyone know where, preferrably in Canada, the best place is to get a new rad for my Swinger 340 ( 4 spd)? Any thoughts on the best type to use would be great. Turns out someone mickey moused a 72 to fit and it doesn't !

I don't know of any suppliers in Canada, but champion radiators makes one for the 69. It's an aluminum one but fits well.
Here's a link http://www.championradiators.com/page/487565592
The rad itself part# is cc1635

Shure looks like that rad should work just fine, with power to spare. Is your 340 stock or built up?

It's fairly stock so that one would be fine. That said I found a good rad shop here in Victoria that will recore the one I have , and I kind of prefer the steel / copper ones anyway....apparently they flex and give more and aluminum ones are prone to cracking more.

Also cooper is more efficient than aluminum and look stock. If you have an old rad, have it recore.

Had my old one recored an it turned out great! They used a core that gives 30% more cooling so should be fine! Thanks all! Larry

What did it cost at the place in Victoria?

I had the stock rad recored in my '65 Valiant 273 years ago, it was around $400.

Hey Mike! It was $ 350 to recore it with a performance 2 core and do some touchup on the rest of it. Looks great. They were recommended by a buddy who has a shop in town that does all my work. Larry
