Hey All!  I just joined the site via the advice of another member here, Sheldon. I'm in Victoria, retired, have 2 "traditional" hot rods - a 40 Ford pickup and a 36 Ford coupe, and just bought a 69 Dart Swinger ( 340 / 4 spd etc).  I bought one new here in '69 and always wanted another one and this one popped up awhile back. See Y'down the road!    Larry

Yup, I know it's a mopar site and that's great, but I thought I'd give you the history of the cars. The 36 was bought new here in Victoria in 1936 by Ma Wilson who owned a pub here back then ( and the familoy still owns it) and used the car to drive the 1/2 mile or so from their house to the pub for many years. It went off the road and into a shed in the late 50's until my buddy bought it in 1993. I bought it from him about 2 years ago. It was always the "phantom 36" that everyone knew about but that was it, and it wasn't for sale til one day when Bob saw the sign on the road. Just a great survivor! The truck is lettered as a copy of my Dad's shop truck in the 50's. So there Y'go Folks!
