Tips, tricks and time savers.
I think we need a thread where we share our methods with each other. Everyone does things a little differently so seeing another way to do something might save some headache and time.

Here is one of my tricks. I use nail heads to fill holes such as those from moldings. Less to weld and less heat applied. Then just grind the nail off and touch up around the edges.

I removed the leaf springs from my challenger which had factory undercoating. To clean the undercoating from the bolts on the front spring bracket I chipped away what I could and then ran a die onto the bolts to clean up the threads. It worked great, nuts came of easy.

If you're working on a 7.25,8.25 or 9.25 axle and can't seem to find a 3 foot long allen key to turn the side adjusters grab a C body torsion bar. its the right size.

Can't undo the 1 1/4" nut holding your harmonic balancer on ?
Socket and a wratchet wedged up against the frame.... touch the starter. Easier than trying to hold the Engine from rotating.

I cleaned the rubber seal that is on the underside of the hood and goes against the rad support with Dupli-colour grease and wax remover. That is wicked stuff and the seal came out looking like new.
