The exchange rate, if it keeps going up and the gas is starting to move back up, so unfortunately by July gas will be at the same level or higher than last year and the exchange well God knows where that will be.

If things don't work out for Carlisle, try to make your way to the maritimes and the atl. nats. Its a great place to meet FABO & Mopar-eh friends and plus our exchange rate is at par or lower.

Today's exchange rate is $1.24 Canadian.
Maybe the Americans don't want us going across any more...I sure hope not.

Made it to Carlisle once but flew down, I think it was cheaper than driving. It sure is something to see and if you are into Mopars it is one of the best Mopar shows around.

I have a friend in Nova Scotia who went down one year and he said also that it is unbelievable, I guess the WOW factor is almost out of this world. It is a place where I want to try to go to.

Funny you mention it but I have been thinking of getting there in a year or two. Our local air line "Air North" has a flight from Whitehorse to Ottawa via Yellowknife. If I could meet up with someone around Toronto area would be cool or maybe have to rent a car from there?
Yes I could just take fights out of Vancouver or Edmonton and get closer but would prefer to support our locally owned and operated airline. Wink

For me twice and I'm from Calgary. Both times we flew down there. Not a cheap trip but still worth it to go!

Went last year for my first time. the WOW factor, certainly is there. I honestly think that I was drooling for the whole weekend. Hell even at night the hotel parking lot was a mini car show. Would love to go again, but maybe I'll take in the Atlantic Nationals show this year and see a bit of Canada while I'm at it.

Now that is what I call areal good idea!!! Come on down and we will make you meet some FABO and MOPAR-Eh members. The show is not the only thing going on, the after show or night get together is almost as good...and then there is the mood and...

If you decide to come down to the Maritimes, don't wait too long to book a room especially around the Moncton area, even if you are tenting, everything fills up fast.

Is the "Atlantic Nationals" a "Mopar Only" show ? I would go consider going down, but I'm not into those "all makes all models shows".

It sure would be nice but Unfortunately we have to endure the sight of Fords, GM and other makes. When I went the first time about eight years ago there were like 6 mopars but now you can count somewhere around 100. That's a lot for this region where old Mopars don't like road salt and usually rust away or are unfixable. I had mine 39 years this April coming, I am the original owner, I ordered it the sensible way, with a slow /6, V8's would have been hard on the health. Now it has a 360 with estimated HP of 325 to 365.

Arcticmopar, fly from Ottawa to London and I'll pick you up in the Challenger if it's not raining. I won't be going this year but something to keep in mind for a year or two from now. I could pick you up in Toronto also but not in the Chally.

Thanks Blown motor, should be no probs. to catch a flight from Ottawa to London or Toronto for that matter to hook up with someone like Brads'70. Yes I not thinking about this year but maybe the next? I also wasn't sure about transit options like a train maybe from Ottawa to London/Toronto etc to meet up with anybody.
