Oil pooling
There is oil pooling in the valley under my intake. I wiped it down and tried searching for the place it was coming from. However I cannot see anything leaking. There are no puddles or spots under the car on the floor. Any ideas where this oil may be coming from ?

Re: Oil pooling
Can you get a picture of it. If you mean in the pockets where the intake bolts down it could be seeping up the thread of the intake bolts.

I've actually cleaned it already, but I'm sure the next time I take it out, I'm going to see the same thing. It is pooling under the carb in the valley of the intake. It is an Elelbrock aluminum dual plane intake.
What is the cure, if it is seeping up the threads of the bolts ?

Yup, to stop it I put some right stuff around the top of the intake bolt. So far so good on the Demon. I'm using an old Torker II intake on it.

Forgive me, but what is this right stuff & where can I get it ??? Do I remove the bolts completely or just back them off to use right stuff ?

Re: Oil pooling
I believe it's made by permatex. I've buy it at auto parts source, but I would think any Auto parts place should carry it. I removed all the intake bolts and put some on them all, when I re gasketed the intake.

So do you think that I could do one at a time, so I don't have to pull the intake and re-gasket it.

Re: Oil pooling
I'm betting the manifold manufacturer would say no to removing 1 bolt at a time but I've changed out the bracket that holds the carb return spring before and that's 2 bolt on one corner. I'd do it 1 bolt at a time.

"Right Stuff" is something like RTV but is a little better and more expensive of course.
