Hi I'm Dan as my user name shows and I'm from a small town just out side of Calgary called Bragg Creek. I have a68 Barracuda and a 67 Valiant that I got from Spokane and is now in 1000000 pieces, or at least it feels that way. My daily Driver is a 2006 Jeep GC and my wife has a 12 Journey.  I tried to follow how to post a pic but the old dork couldn't figure it out!  But I'll keep trying.

Hi Dan. I'm a little south of you in Lethbridge. My son and I will be building a '68 Barracuda as well! Of course there is more madness in the garage too, one of which is also in 1,000,000 pieces!

Welcome, your Cuda looks like a '69, but it's gorgeous. What drivetrain are you running?

Yea that's the way I got it, it was also dark Blue, from the factory it was a 318 3 sp man trans. When I got the car you could see there was some slight damage on the drivers inside fender and if you could see where the front end was pulled on to straighten out some damage, 99% of that cleaned up now. Previous owner had a 340 in it with the 833. Now running a 380 hp crate motor with a 833. 4 sp now. Coys wheels all round with 8 3/4. Got rid of the front drums and put on ssbc front brakes. Still running the 4" bolt pattern. The car was supposedly painted back to original colour although I think the shop has the colour off just slightly.

Well, I could see someone possibly replacing the front clip to a '69, but to go to the trouble to either weld up the rear marker lights and cut in the rectangular '69 holes, or change the quarter panels to '69 style? Any pics from the rear? Which tail panel and lights do you have?

Yea the parts car to repair the rust was a 69. This car was from Northern AB and back in the late 90's there wasn't much for parts for 68 convertible Cuda's. This work was prior to me owning it and that is what I was told. When the car was at Canada Olympic park for a show in mid 2000's I had a fellow tell me he thought the car was a 69, but when we looked at the vin is does show a 68.

I had to have the car striped back down as I had tons of bono cracking all over the passenger rear quarter and that's when the car went back to the colour you see here. I had a fellow in olds do most of the body work. I should of had the car changed back to a 68 for all the dam money I spent. Believe me you guys might laugh at what I spent and what I paid for a car that looked so good in pictures, but I didn't do my research properly.

The car was from St. Albert and I believe that is where all the work happened and the colour was changed to Blue.
